Liz wasted no time finding her new furrever home and canine bestie Stanley!
Hello, my name is Stanley and while I’m not a Safe Place dog, I’d like to tell you about my new Safe Place doggie friend, Liz, who has joined my family!! First, please allow me to tell you a little about myself and my family – I am a 10 year old white terrier mix and I live with my dad, mom and two awesome human brothers! They are such wonderful people and I’m so lucky to have lived with my parents my whole life! We recently moved to beautiful Colorado Springs from California and we’re all loving it here, but there was one small problem – I was lonely. See, we temporarily lived with family that had another dog and once we moved into our own home, I was a bit sad and depressed. My dad saw Liz posted by Safe Place for Pets on the Nextdoor website and he contacted a lady who brought Liz to meet us. At first, I wasn’t sure about her, but she is so little and sweet; she really won me and my family over very quickly! The first night, we shared a blanket while the family ate dinner and we’ve been hanging out together since! We both enjoy sunbathing in the nice, big backyard and though Liz doesn’t join in playing ball with me and the boys, she seems to enjoy watching us play! Maybe she’ll learn to play over time? Liz is very cuddly with the family and when not snuggled up in her new comfy bed, she likes to follow everyone throughout the house…I do that, too – you never know when you might get a treat!! Liz is a bit of an escape artist and if she sees an opportunity, she’ll bolt out the front door, but my brothers will be helping my mom and dad work on that. We’re hoping the more time she spends walking with us through the neighborhood and on our fun trips to Garden of the Gods and other cool hiking spots, she’ll realize we’re her forever family and she is safe with us and loved by us all!
Safe Place for Pets wishes to thank Liz’s foster and her new family for their very generous donation and for giving this sweetheart of a girl a loving and caring new home!! Thank you also to Buxton Veterinary Hospital (wonderful Safe Place partner) for extracting all of Liz’s diseased teeth so she can be healthy and pain free!! Everyone at Safe Place for Pets wishes Liz and Stanley many years of friendship and companionship and we know the family will make many wonderful memories together!! Thanks also to the Safe Place volunteers for making Liz’s snuggly blanket!
Adoption Bio – 6/2/2017
Hello everyone, my name is Liz and I am a 9 year old, spayed female Red Miniature Pinscher! I am a petite girl at 9 lbs., and am very healthy and energetic! My mommy is very ill and can no longer care for me so I am now living with a wonderful foster family that includes a 1 year old Dachshund (who also needs a home) and some older kids. I have access to a yard through this wonderful thing called a “doggie door” and I just love it! The lady with Safe Place who is helping me said I am just beautiful and am sort of “unique” in that she’s seen many black and tan Min Pins, but not a red one like me! I’m told I’m pretty quiet (especially for a Min Pin!) and I’m very friendly and loveable! I have not been around cats, but might do well.
I am seeking a new person or family to love me and if you think that might be you, please contact Safe Place for Pets at 719-359-0201 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
