Update Announcement – 5/30/2015
It’s like Reggie was always part of the family!
This is from Reggie’s new mom: “We are all doing so well! It’s like Reggie was always part of the family! I attached a few pictures for you. (As you can see these are the only times I can get good pictures! Always tired from running around!). Once it gets nicer out I’ll send you some of them in the backyard!”. Reggie has 2 girlfriends/sisters that he now lives with. They have a great backyard and keep each other busy playing and running. Reggie has the blue collar in the picture with all 3 of them resting.
Adoption Announcement – 11/21/2015
An exciting Safe Place adoption took place this weekend: Reggie has a new home!
Reggie’s wonderful new mom and dad live in a home with a large backyard and decided they could open their home, and their hearts, to another dog – lucky little Reggie! It was a perfect fit for everyone right from the first meeting…Reggie is very sweet and a bit shy, but was very at ease with the family, including his two new “sisters!” Reggie and his two sisters have been having fun playing with one another, and they all enjoy snuggling on the sofa with mom and dad after a long day of playing. Everyone at Safe Place for Pets wishes Reggie and his family all the best!!
Adoption Bio – 11/1/2015
Reggie is a black and white 4-5 year old male, neutered, microchipped Australian cattle dog mix or similar breed that is rather short/small at only 26 lbs. He is a cutie that has white freckled legs, and a little white on end of tail and face. Reggie is a very sweet boy and absolutely loves human attention and affection! Though he hasn’t had “formal” training, Reggie knows sit and wait (he may/may not choose to comply!), and he is an active boy who loves to go outside for a walk and may do best with a harness to discourage pulling. At his foster’s, he seems to think the front door is his way out for a walk so he visits the front door often. Reggie is used to having a fenced yard and will run like “blue streak!” He is running with his new foster siblings and trying to figure out how to get involved when they play with one another…we are certain he will figure it out very quickly as he seems very adaptable to his environment. Reggie is housebroken (he’s learning to use a doggie door at his foster’s) and does not chew or have other undesirable indoor behavior. Reggie’s perfect home would be with one person or a family with older children that can spend time quality time with him walking him, taking him to the dog park, and just being next to him, giving him the attention he so desires.
