Meet Rowdy

Adoption Announcement – 4/18/2016

Rowdy is such a happy and lucky boy — he has a new forever home!

This sweet 13 year old was in need of a loving home and he definitely has that now! His mom saw him and fell in love – she’d always wanted a Manchester Terrier and thought he might be the perfect addition to the family and she was right! Rowdy’s doggie sisters, Bear and Baby, took a liking to him right away and they are all enjoying playing together. Their home has several doggie doors to the large backyard and there are tons of bunnies for the dogs to observe! When it’s nap time, they all curl up on mom’s lap or one of several dog bed or chair options! At bedtime, they all enjoy sleeping with mom — Rowdy likes to sleep on his back with his paws straight in the air!

THANK YOU to Rowdy’s wonderful foster, Linda, and to Brown Veterinary Hospital and Buxton Veterinary Hospital (Safe Place for Pets veterinary partners) for vaccinating, doing blood work, and performing a dental cleaning to ensure Rowdy can live life to the fullest with his new mom and sisters! Everyone at Safe Place for Pets wishes Rowdy and his mom many wonderful memories together!!

Adoption Bio – 1/31/2016

I am Rowdy, an adorable and sweet, gentle little guy. I am a Manchester Terrier mix. I am 12 years old and weigh in at a svelte 15 lbs. My foster mom has seen my personality come through, and says that I am very lovable.

When my foster mom takes me outside, I like to sniff around and see the bunnies. She says I am still very spry and that I do well on the leash. I am a great little companion that likes being affectionate at times, and other times, I love to burrow myself in a sheet or blanket and sleep soundly all night, as well as enjoy a snuggly nap off and on throughout the day. Even though I am thin, I am a good eater. I don’t bark alot, but when I do, it’s usually to notify my foster mom that I have seen someone new, human or dog. I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home.

If you are looking to bypass that “puppy stage”, then I am would be a great companion for you because I will not chew and destroy things and don’t need to be kept busy as a puppy or younger dog would. All I require is love, kindness, and being taken care of. Make an appointment today to meet me!
