Meet Sargent Pepper
Adoption Date: 7/6/2017
Hi everyone. My name is Sargent Pepper named after the Beatles song Sargent Peppers Lonely hearts club band which by the way celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 1st! I am a smart 12 lb, 5 year multi-colored Shih Tzu who is very trained and adorable so I have been told.
I lived with my mom for the last year at a memory facility where there were lots of visitors of all ages. I got to visit with everyone during the day and then slept with my mom in her big room at night. It was different before that when I lived in a house with my mom who took me everywhere. I love to ride in a car. Can’t wait for the feel again of the car engine taking off for destinations unknown.
My mom had me neutered at an early age but I recently started to feel a bit insecure at times and have been known to jump on the back of a female. I currently live with my foster Mommy Linda who helped to make me feel more secure. It did take a bit of time but once I got settled in with a routine I think she agrees I am doing better. Linda loves me but I know it is not permanent home. I need to find a forever home with a new mommy or a retired couple that have a house with a fenced in backyard. I will be a wonderful companion, your best friend. All I ask is for someone who will be home most of the time and wants to spoil me.
I enjoy being brushed and sitting on your lap or just next to you. I like the occasional walk and love to ride in cars. You will need to have me groomed every 6 to 8 weeks or I look like the end of a mop but I am well worth it.
Hope to meet you soon
Please consider Pepper when looking to adopt a new pet. He is a lovable, healthy, fully trained, lap dog who we believe will make a wonderful pet for a single woman or retired couple.
