Truman is loving his new home!
Truman was the Safe Place “star” at the Paws for Celebration event this summer and many got to know him from various Facebook posts and the event. Truman was lucky to begin a trial period with a lovely young lady he met at the event, but he had some issues adjusting to his new home so we all felt it was best to find a very calm, quiet environment he could thrive in. Truman was incredibly fortunate that a wonderful woman inquired about him! Her children are grown and she was looking for a companion to spend her life with and it was love at first sight! Truman now enjoys sunning himself in their nice, fenced yard, but his very favorite place is “hogging” mom’s California king bed!! Sometimes Truman’s snoring is just so loud, but his mom adores him and wouldn’t have it any other way! We wish Melissa and Truman a long and happy life together.
Adoption Bio – 6/18/2015
I am an Old English Bulldog/Jack Russell Terrier mix. That’s a mouthful for a 13 year old neutered boy. I am as healthy as a horse, but much smaller! I was left behind when my owner passed away. I have a pretty strong personality, but really connect with who I deem “my owner” quickly. I am a bit “choosy” and like some older children/adults, but might do best as an only dog to an experienced dog owner who can show me rules and guidelines in a firm, but loving manner. I would also prefer someone who is home most of the time and can show me lots of attention. I have lived with a cat, and a non-dominate small dog, but may be content being alone. I am 36 pounds, so I could lose maybe a pound or two on our walks, which I love. I have been bounced around a lot lately and really hope to find someone who wants to keep me forever.
