Adoption Announcement – 6/5/2019
Hi, this is Winchester reporting back to let you know how pawsitively happy I am with my new home. I have to say it didn’t take Safe Place long to find me a furrever home. I was spotted right away by one of our cat care volunteers. One look in my eyes and she could tell I was just begging to be adopted. “Pick me, pick me” I was saying. I’m such a friendly fellow she knew I would get along with my now 3 feline siblings, one canine sister, and one human sister.
It took the 4 of us felines a couple days to adjust, as you would expect when a new family member arrives. But now we are as thick as thieves. As you can see from the photos I’ve made myself at home and staked out the perfect chair for relaxing. The two of us with long hair, he’s a Maine Coon, are the best of pals. We play together and relax together too. We like to think we are more posh because of our elegant long hair.
I have a new name too. One that makes me feel even more part of the gang. They call me “Nacho”. I like the snappy sound if it. Not quite as buttoned up as Winchester. And because I’m orange, of course it is appropriate.
Well that’s about it for now, time for a nap. Oh yeah, special thanks to the volunteers at Safe Place for Pets for their wonderful care and attention. Thanks also to Apex College of Veterinary Technology (a Safe Place Partner) for making sure I’m healthy.
Adoption Bio – 5/16/2019
Hello, my name is Winchester. I am a super friendly 8-year-old neutered male. My mom recently passed away and her family could not take me. They were very sad as I get along with everyone. I love dogs and my mom’s grand-children too. I’m very quiet. If I wasn’t always wanting your attention you wouldn’t even know I was here. I stayed for a week with my mom’s friend but she had to sneak me into her apartment as they don’t allow cats. She wanted to keep me as she says I was very in touch with her emotions. I was very attentive when she was sad.
I loooove to play with a laser pointer and and my catnip chipmunk too. I love to be brushed. Well… I actually like anytime you pay attention to me. The brushing is just the icing on the cake.
My caretaker was kind enough to send all my belongings with me. So I have a bed, a litter box, a carrier, all my toys, a cat tree and some food. I have all my vaccines and a microchip too. I’m all packed and ready to join my new fur-ever family. You can visit me at Safe Place at (719) 359-0201 or or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org. See you soon!
