We have developed the Wellness Program for the Pets of the Terminally Ill so that we can take a more proactive approach to assisting these very special pet companions. Last year, we spent approximately a quarter of our budget on veterinary care. By assigning a volunteer to a pet that has been surrendered to us, we hope to diminish the costs related to that pet’s care, but more importantly, we hope to increase the quality of life for both the pet companion and its terminally ill owner. Donations made through the Give! campaign will be used to fund this program.
